Finding Your Niche

By Joe Sladky

So you have bit the bullet and your ready to start making easy money online. Good call! It should of been an easy one since your about to get started and you still have not spent a dime out of your pocket. (Ok Maybe if you calculate power to run your computer, internet fees, etc...blah! never mind that.)

The most important thing we need to do is a little research and find something that is worth trying to make money with. From here on we will refer to this are a "Niche". Niches can be anything at all from something vauge like "widgets" to something very focused like "red widgets with black polka-dots".

Finding niches is not hard at all once you get the hang of it, but what can be a bit difficult is finding ones that are worth putting some time into and marketing successfully. There is a ton of ways to locate a niche some more popular than others. One method is to use companies like ebay.com and amazon.com and see what items are popping up on their pages.

Dive into different categories and see what comes up. Say for instance you look into the electronics category and find Nintendo Game Boys on the main page(Imagine if there was e-commerce in '86 ok!). This would be a niche that is popular enough right now that the large corporations put it on their main pages as "hot sellers". Take some time and go through the pages and find things that interest you. That is one of the most important things I can tell you if you really want to make easy money online. Find topics that interest you as it will only make things easier later on when it comes time to writing content about your niches.

Another process I use to find new up and coming niches is looking at the world around me. Some time or another we all have to leave the computer and venture out into the real world to go to work, stores, etc. While your out keep an eye out for whats going on, and whats the new trends are popping up. Take a look at those annoying people in kiosks at the mall and see what they are peddling, it could be the next big thing and worth advertising before it takes off and becomes impossible to make easy money online with it.

Remember a few years back when we all couldn't figure out the big deal with wearing sheep skin boots? Today the keyword "Uggs" is searched 2.2 million times a month, more during the holidays, on google alone. With a average CPC (cost per click) of $1.62 cents you could of definitivly been on easy street by now! Take some time and find some niches that interest you!
